Since the beginning of February we’ve been doing a series of weekly workshops with a team of eight new puppeteers at the Unraku Studio to train them for some upcoming projects we’re developing. We recently did an exercise in the workshops called “Monster Shakespeare” that involved each puppeteer selecting, memorizing, staging and performing a monologue, sonnet or soliloquy by Shakespeare with a puppet character.
